Product Overview +
High-Density 12G/Quad-Link 3G Interoperability
The Evertz 7800MDM-12G addresses the critical bridge between legacy quad-link 3G-SDI infrastructure and single-link 12G-SDI (SMPTE ST 2082) Ultra High Definition (UHD) environments. Functioning as a high-density, bi-directional multiplexer and demultiplexer, a single card can perform format transformations in both directions simultaneously. This enables seamless integration between 12G-SDI cameras, switchers, and routers and legacy quad-link 3G production equipment.
Advanced Signal Transformation & Mapping
Engineered for ultimate UHD routing flexibility, the 7800MDM-12G supports both Square Division (SQD) and Two-Sample Interleave (2sI) signal mappings across 3G-SDI Level A and Level B formats. The card features internal cross-conversion capabilities, allowing input SQD quad-link signals to be output as 2sI quad-link (or vice versa), simplifying interconnectivity between differing manufacturers' UHD transport implementations.
Redundant I/O Flexibility and Frame Integration
Designed to occupy just a single slot in Evertz 7800FR 3RU and 7801FR 1RU frames, the module offers high channel density for space-constrained broadcast applications. Dual 12G inputs feature software-selectable active switching, while dual 12G outputs allow built-in distribution without requiring external DA hardware. Fully manageable via VistaLINK® or standalone Web GUI, the 7800MDM-12G provides real-time signal monitoring, status reporting, and remote control.
