Product Overview +
PTP-Referenced Timing for Hybrid IP/Baseband Facilities
The Evertz 7800SRG-IP PTP Slave Sync Generator bridges network-based timing and traditional analog reference signals within modern broadcast facilities, OB trucks, and data centers. By locking directly to Precision Time Protocol (IEEE 1588, SMPTE ST 2059-2, or AES67) over dual 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet ports, the module eliminates the need for expensive, facility-wide coaxial black burst distribution networks. It is the ideal solution for generating synchronized local references in remote edit suites, campus LAN environments, and isolated baseband production islands.
Flexible Independent Reference Outputs
Featuring six high-density HD-BNC output connectors, the 7800SRG-IP allows engineers to configure each output independently to meet diverse equipment timing demands. Outputs can be tailored to generate NTSC or PAL black burst (SMPTE ST 170 / ITU-R BT.1700-1), HDTV tri-level sync across various standard resolutions and frame rates, or custom continuous wave (CW) frequencies. This precise output customization ensures seamless frame synchronization across both high-definition digital hardware and legacy analog infrastructure.
Comprehensive Signal Support & Remote Control
Beyond standard video synchronization, the module delivers continuous wave timing signals, including 5MHz, 10MHz, subcarrier references, and 48kHz word clock. Designed as a modular card for Evertz frame systems, it operates efficiently alongside master clock systems like the Evertz 5700MSC-IP. Card parameters, output timing offsets, and PTP locking statuses can be monitored and managed remotely across the facility network using VistaLINK unified management software.
