The Evertz 7801FC VistaLINK Frame Controller serves as the central communication and monitoring hub for the compact 1RU 7801FR multiframe. Operating as a native SNMP agent, the card establishes a direct connection between the chassis and network management systems (NMS) over standard IP networks. By utilizing a dedicated slot (Slot 0) within the 7801FR frame, the 7801FC delivers full single-point remote access without reducing the frame's 4-card processing slot capacity.

High-Speed Network Control and WebEASY Management

Equipped with an auto-negotiating Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000BASE-T) RJ-45 interface, the 7801FC ensures high-throughput, low-latency telemetry transmission across broadcast infrastructure. In addition to full integration with Evertz VistaLINK Pro (VLPRO-C) software, the controller features an onboard web interface. This allows broadcast engineers and technicians to inspect status and configure settings on WebEASY-enabled modules directly through any standard web browser. Centralized FTP firmware transfer capability further simplifies facility maintenance by enabling frame-wide software updates.

Comprehensive Telemetry and Local Status Monitoring

Engineered for continuous operation in broadcast trucks, utility rooms, and transmission facilities, the 7801FC continuously gathers critical frame metrics. Through SNMP, the controller reports power supply health, frame alarm conditions, module insertion/removal counters, and installed firmware versions. Multi-color card-edge and rear-panel LEDs provide immediate, clear visual feedback regarding microprocessor status, hardware faults, network link speeds, and active data traffic.
