The Evertz 7814UDX-2 series provides broadcast-quality up, down, and cross conversion in a dual-path modular card format. Designed for demanding live production, playout facilities, and signal distribution centers, each card contains two fully independent processing channels with integrated frame synchronizers. The module supports seamless format conversions across standard definition (SD-SDI), high definition (HD-SDI), and 3Gb/s 1080p signals (on -3G models), aligning video feeds using card or frame genlock reference inputs.

Advanced Video Enhancement & Format Steering

Engineered for uncompromised picture quality, the 7814UDX-2 series incorporates 3D spatial-temporal noise reduction and adaptive de-interlacing to eliminate conversion artifacts. Built-in RGB color legalizers, detail enhancement processors, and ITU Rec. 709 ⇔ 601 color space conversion ensure exact signal compliance. Full Active Format Description (AFD) support enables automated, frame-accurate aspect ratio adjustments to maintain proper picture framing across multi-platform delivery chains.

Integrated Audio DSP, Fiber Connectivity & Network Control

Each processing path manages 16 channels of embedded audio with auto-tracking delay to ensure lip-sync cohesion. Depending on configuration, cards offer discrete AES I/O (-AES8), Dolby encoding/decoding (-DAP), stereo-to-5.1 surround upmixing (+UMX2), and IntelliGain® loudness management (+IG2). For hybrid fiber/coax architectures, "-F" versions add pluggable SFP optical I/O slots. System monitoring, status logging, and parameter configuration are managed via VistaLINK® SNMP and Evertz VUE control surfaces using 7700/7800/7801FC frame controllers.
