Dual-Channel High-Density Broadcast Processing

The Evertz 7814UDX-2 series provides two fully independent paths of broadcast-quality up, down, and cross conversion within a single two-slot modular frame card. Engineered for master control, live production trucks, and playout facilities, each path contains a dedicated frame synchronizer to align non-synchronous video sources. The card supports multi-rate conversions across SD-SDI (SMPTE 259M), HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M), and 3G-SDI (SMPTE 424M on -3G versions) environments using card or frame genlock reference connections.

Advanced Motion-Adaptive Video & Color Engine

Engineered for maximum image fidelity, the 7814UDX-2 series incorporates 3D spatial-temporal noise reduction and adaptive de-interlacing to eliminate motion artifacts during format conversion. Built-in RGB color legalizers, detail enhancement engines, and ITU Rec. 709 ⇔ 601 color space transformation maintain full broadcast signal compliance. Active Format Description (AFD / SMPTE 2016) support guarantees automatic, frame-accurate aspect ratio adjustments across multi-platform content distribution chains.

Audio DSP, Data Processing & System Control

Each processing channel transparently handles 16 embedded audio channels with automatic video delay tracking to maintain accurate lip-sync alignment. Full CEA 608/708 Closed Captioning and timecode re-calculation are performed automatically across format conversions. System options include discrete AES I/O (-AES8), Dolby decoding/encoding (-DAP), stereo-to-5.1 surround upmixing (+UMX2), and IntelliGain® loudness management (+IG2). Optical I/O is supported on -F variants with manual or auto-failover switching. Remote setup, monitoring, and status reporting are fully supported via VistaLINK® SNMP or VUE touch panels when paired with Evertz 7700FC, 7800FC, or 7801FC frame controllers.
