High-Density Dual-Channel Video Conversion

The Evertz 7814UDX-2 series (including 7814UC-2, 7814HDC-2, and 7814XC-2 variants) provides professional dual-path video up, down, and cross conversion in a compact 2-slot card format for Evertz 7800FR and 7801FR frames. Engineered for high-density broadcast environments, live production trucks, and playout facilities, each card processes two entirely independent video streams simultaneously. It seamlessly scales and converts between SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI formats. Powered by advanced motion-adaptive 3D spatial-temporal noise reduction and next-generation de-interlacing engines, the card preserves maximum spatial resolution while eliminating motion artifacts.

Frame Synchronization, Color Legalization, and VANC Data

Built-in frame synchronizers on each path ensure precise video timing alignment against external card genlock or frame reference sources. Integrated video processing includes full broadcast-quality color correction, detail enhancement, and RGB color legalization to keep signals strictly within gamut limits. The module automatically executes ITU Rec. 709 ⇔ 601 color space conversions. For active video framing and VANC metadata, the series provides standard and user-defined aspect ratio conversions (ARC), frame-accurate AFD (SMPTE 2016) code processing, and full CEA-608/708 closed caption and timecode translation with automatic recalculations.

Advanced Audio Infrastructure, Fiber Optics, and Remote Management

The 7814UDX-2 series processes 16 channels of embedded audio per channel with video-tracking audio delay and full audio proc amp capabilities, including channel shuffling, phase inversion, and 5.1-to-stereo (Lo/Ro and Lt/Rt) downmixing. The platform offers expanded audio and connectivity options:

Discrete AES I/O (-AES8 Versions): Adds 8 discrete AES input and 8 discrete AES output pairs per path for flexible external routing.
Advanced Audio Processing (+UMX2, +IG2, -DAP): Supports optional stereo-to-5.1 surround upmixing (+UMX2), Evertz IntelliGain® loudness management (+IG2), and integrated Dolby® decoding/encoding (-DAP).
Optical SFP Transceivers (-F Versions): Enables software-selectable input failover between coaxial BNC and optical SFP transceivers, alongside dual-output optical SFPs.
VistaLINK® SNMP Control: Fully monitored and configured via VistaLINK® software, VUE-CP232, or VUE-TOUCH2-12R control panels when combined with a frame controller module.
