Ultra-High Definition Multi-Format Conversion

The Evertz 7814UDX-4K series provides broadcast-quality up, down, and cross conversion in a dual-slot modular form factor, bridging legacy HD/3G infrastructures with high-resolution 4K/UHD workflows. Capable of processing SMPTE ST 292M, ST 424M, and ST 2082 signals, the series supports square division quad-split (SQD) and two-sample interleaved (2sI) format conversions. Quad-input synchronizers align multi-lane SDI inputs or single-link 12G-SDI sources with card or frame reference signals.

Precision HDR & Color Space Engine

Equipped with optional video processing (+VPROC) and HDR licenses (+HDR), the card uses high-precision mathematical LUT modeling for low-latency transforms between SDR and major HDR standards, including Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG), Perceptual Quantizer (PQ / ST 2084), and S-Log3. The processing engine handles wide color gamut conversions across ITU Rec. BT.709, BT.2020, and S-Gamut3 spaces, complete with RGB color legalization and active detail enhancement.

Flexible Audio Management & Scalable Modular I/O

The module transparently passes 16 embedded audio channels with automatic video delay tracking to maintain exact lip sync. For complex audio workflows, the +APROC option provides gain control, phase inversion, channel shuffling, and mono mixing, while -AES8 variants add 8 discrete AES I/O pairs. Modular interface options include -12G (supporting up to two 12G coaxial/fiber SFPs) and -12G-HDBNC-R (high-density HD-BNC connections). Remote telemetry and control are handled through Evertz VistaLINK® SNMP or VUE touch panels in 3RU 7800FR or 1RU 7801FR frames.
