High-Density UHD/3G/HD Video Conversion

The Evertz 7814UDX-4K series (including 7814UC-4K, 7814HDC-4K, and 7814XC-4K variants) is designed to meet the rigorous demands of multi-format broadcast production and distribution environments. Occupying two slots in the Evertz 7800FR or 7801FR frame, this card provides seamless up, down, and cross conversion between SD/HD-SDI (SMPTE ST 292-1), 3G-SDI (SMPTE ST 424M), and 12G UHD formats (SMPTE ST 2082). It natively bridges legacy 3G Quad-Link formats (Square Division and 2sI interleave) to single-link 12G-SDI, allowing facility engineers to manage parallel HD and 4K UHD workflows efficiently.

HDR Processing, Color Correction, and Signal Enhancement

Equipped with advanced 3D motion-adaptive de-interlacing and noise reduction technologies, the 7814UDX-4K series maintains high image resolution while eliminating temporal motion artifacts. Optional video processing licenses (+VPROC and +HDR) enable:

HDR & Color Space Conversion (+HDR): High-precision, low-latency mathematical transforms between SDR and major HDR formats, including HLG, HDR10 (PQ / SMPTE ST 2084), and Sony S-Log3, with automatic color space mapping between BT.709, BT.2020, and S-Gamut3.
Broadcast Video Processing (+VPROC): Full broadcast-quality SDR color correction, RGB-based color legalization, and detail enhancement controls to ensure video signals meet strict transmission tolerances.

Audio Infrastructure, 12G Connectivity, and Remote Control

The 7814UDX-4K series transparently handles up to 16 channels of embedded audio, automatically adjusting audio latency to match video processing delay. When equipped with the +APROC option, operators gain complete audio channel shuffling, gain adjustment, phase inversion, and mono-mixing capabilities. The -AES8 variant expands physical connectivity with 8 discrete AES input and output pairs. For physical I/O flexibility, the -12G option supports up to two 12G SFP transceivers for fiber or coaxial transport, while the -12G-HDBNC-R option provides high-density HDBNC coaxial interface plates. Complete system management, status monitoring, and parameter adjustments are handled remotely via VistaLINK® SNMP software and Evertz hardware control panels.
