Multi-Function Dual-Path Architecture

The Evertz 7847FSEDA series consolidates frame synchronization, audio processing, distribution amplification, and optical-to-electrical signal conversion into a single 2-slot card for 7800 series frames. By providing two completely independent video processing channels on one board, the 7847FSEDA delivers up to 14 channels of processing in a 3RU chassis, drastically reducing inter-wiring, rack space, power consumption, and equipment costs in broadcast facilities and mobile production units.

Comprehensive Distribution & Pluggable SFP Optical I/O

Designed for high-density signal distribution, each channel features 6 synchronized, fully processed coaxial outputs and 2 re-clocked non-synchronized loop outputs via compact DIN 1.0/2.3 or optional HDBNC connectors. Additionally, the card accepts Evertz SFP optical or coaxial transceiver modules, providing up to 4 SFP outputs per path. Input selection between coaxial and SFP sources can be manually forced or set to automatic failover mode based on loss of signal.

Audio Processing, Metadata & Frame Reference Control

Standard audio DSP capabilities support 16 channels of embedded audio per path with full shuffling, phase inversion, gain adjustment, and 5.1-to-stereo downmixing (Lt/Rt or Lo/Ro). Optional modules enable IntelliGain® loudness management (+IG2) and 5.1 upmixing (+UMX2). Frame genlock reference can be sourced from either frame reference connection or the card's local reference port with prioritizable auto-failover, ensuring glitch-free operation and continuous sync alignment.
