Advanced Multi-Format Video & Audio Signal Generation

The Evertz 7851TG2-3G Dual Test Signal Generator delivers precise, comprehensive diagnostic signal generation for modern broadcast studios, mobile production trucks, and post-production facilities. Designed to verify signal path integrity and test system tolerances over long cable runs, this 3G/HD/SD-SDI module generates a wide range of standard SMPTE video formats. It seamlessly supports 1080p, 1080i, 720p, and 2048p resolutions across 3G-SDI (Level A/B), 1.5G single/dual-link HD-SDI, and 270Mb/s SD-SDI, covering YCbCr and RGB color spaces in 10-bit and 12-bit depths.

Independent Dual-Generator Workflow & Custom Playout

Built with two fully independent internal test signal engines, the 7851TG2-3G allows engineers to output different test patterns simultaneously. Generator #1 provides four BNC outputs (or two Dual-Link outputs), while Generator #2 offers two BNC outputs (or one Dual-Link output). An integrated linear mixer enables operators to key full-frame overlays over video patterns, allowing facility branding slides, slate graphics, or custom channel ID graphics (.BMP) to play out alongside synchronized reference audio (.WAV).

Precision Genlock, Audio Embedding, and Remote Control

To ensure seamless facility integration, the module locks to external bi-level or tri-level genlock references with infinite horizontal and vertical phase adjustments. It automatically inserts required SMPTE Payload IDs and embeds up to four groups of multi-channel audio tones (60Hz to 10kHz) as per SMPTE ST 299-1. Designed for high-density 7700/7800 series card frames, the module can be configured via its dedicated OSD monitoring output, card-edge LEDs, or remotely using VistaLINK SNMP network management software.
