The Evertz 7881IPT-1G is an enterprise-grade modular IP media gateway card engineered to transmit and receive broadcast-quality video streams over public, unmanaged Internet connections. By leveraging open-source Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) and Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST) protocols, the 7881IPT-1G delivers a cost-effective alternative to expensive, dedicated managed IP circuits and satellite backhaul links for live content contribution and distribution.

Flexible Per-License Stream Configurations

The module operates on a software-licensed basis, allowing broadcast engineers to configure processing paths as either stream transmitters (TX) or stream receivers (RX). Built-in rate control continuously optimizes link usage, enabling rapid deployment of ad-hoc broadcast services, remote newsgathering feeds, and multi-point cloud streaming distributions without sacrificing quality of service (QoS).

Flexible Connectivity & Cloud Interoperability

Featuring comprehensive physical interface choices, the 7881IPT-1G includes four 10/100/1000 Base-T Gigabit Ethernet ports for MPEG-2 Transport Stream input/output alongside three SFP optical transceiver slots. The module integrates seamlessly with cloud-based distribution servers, empowering media organizations to pull or push SRT feeds across public cloud infrastructure and edge receiver devices.

Modular Frame Integration & Centralized Control

Occupying two slots in the 15-slot Evertz 7800FR and quiet-cooling 7800FR-QT 3RU frame chassis, the 7881IPT-1G supports hot-swappable replacement to maintain high system uptime. Signal detection, status reporting, and parameter setup can be performed locally via an HTTP web GUI or managed centrally across large-scale facilities using Evertz VistaLINK PRO SNMP network management systems.
