The Evertz 7890MG-10GE2 Universal Media over IP Gateway serves as an advanced bridge connecting traditional SDI video environments with high-speed IP transport networks. Featuring 10 bi-directional access interfaces—including 8 auto-sensing ports for 3G/HD/SD-SDI, DVB-ASI, or Gigabit Ethernet, plus 2 dedicated GE/10GE data ports—it consolidates diverse broadcast traffic into a unified network stream. This multi-rate versatility enables media facilities and live production teams to transport raw video and data with exceptionally low latency.

Hitless Switching for Zero-Downtime Networks

Built to meet strict SLA requirements for broadcast contribution and primary distribution, the module incorporates dual 10GE trunk paths for full 1+1 redundant link topology. Each access interface features independent hitless protection switching, instantly absorbing network errors or link interruptions without dropping video frames or corrupting data feeds. Coupled with automatic input equalization up to 50 meters on Belden 1694A coaxial cable, the gateway guarantees uninterrupted signal delivery across long-haul IP networks.

High-Density Modular Design & Remote Control

Designed for seamless deployment within Evertz 7800 series frames, the 2-slot modular card provides rapid front-of-frame hot-swapping to ensure maximum operational uptime. Up to 2 access ports can be linked directly to Evertz Advanced Transport Platform (ATP) modules, enabling seamless pass-through for AES audio, MADI, serial control, and tally signals over the same trunk line. System administrators can easily configure parameters via a standalone web page or manage full system telemetry remotely using Evertz VistaLINK and SNMP protocols.
