High-Density Standalone DWDM Multiplexing
The Evertz 9000DWDM Series 1RU Optical Units deliver enterprise-grade, high-density optical multiplexing designed to maximize dark fiber utilization. Operating within the ITU-T G.694.1 C-Band spectrum on a standard 100GHz (0.8nm) grid, these standalone rackmount devices aggregate up to 40 individual optical signals onto a single single-mode fiber line. By consolidating dozens of channels onto a single optical path, the 9000DWDM drastically cuts recurring leased-fiber operating expenses for broadcasters, telecommunication providers, and data center operators.
Protocol-Agnostic Passive Reliability
Engineered as a completely passive optical system, the 9000DWDM requires no electrical power or cooling, eliminating electrical points of failure and delivering maximum uptime for critical links. Its protocol-agnostic design transparently transports uncompressed 3G/HD/SD-SDI, 4K video feeds, L-Band/IF satellite signals, MADI audio, and IP/Ethernet traffic simultaneously without introducing latency or jitter. Available in 32-channel (C28–C59) and 40-channel (C20–C59) multiplexer and demultiplexer configurations, it offers an end-to-end framework for high-bandwidth point-to-point links.
Built for Broadcast Infrastructure and Facility Transport
Housed in a compact 1RU 19-inch rack enclosure, the 9000DWDM eliminates the need for card-based modular frames when dedicated, high-capacity multiplexing is needed at remote sites or headend racks. Its high optical isolation and low insertion loss ensure signal integrity across long distances. The 9000DWDM is the ideal standalone solution for Studio-to-Transmitter Links (STL/TSL), venue-to-studio backhaul, satellite ground station signal distribution, and campus-wide facility extensions.
