The Evertz EMX series of processing multiframes is built for high-density routing, IP gateway transport, master control, and complex signal processing. Evolving from Evertz' industry-standard 7000 series chassis, the EMX line accommodates larger module form factors and higher power capacities required for modern multi-rate broadcast environments. Modules install vertically across the 6RU chassis or horizontally in 3RU and 1RU variations, enabling systems integrators to mix and match processing cards to build custom, end-to-end signal paths.

Optimized Power Distribution and Thermal Management

Designed for high-throughput processing engines, the EMX chassis family provides exceptional power allocation per module—up to 120W per slot in the 1RU EMX1-FR, 72W in the 3RU EMX3-FR, and 67W in the 6RU EMX6-FR-1200W (up to 1200W total frame capacity). Efficient cooling is maintained via front- and rear-mounted fans operating in front-to-rear exhaust patterns (6RU/3RU) or front-to-side airflow (1RU), ensuring reliable, non-throttled performance under full processing loads.

System Resilience and VistaLINK Telemetry

Engineered for continuous 24/7 mission-critical operations, all EMX frames support hot-swappable power supplies and cooling fans, allowing components to be replaced without interrupting active signals. Two analog BNC reference inputs provide independent programmable timing planes per output for multi-format video genlock. Integrated with the EMX-FC frame controller, the chassis provides complete Ethernet and Serial SNMP network supervision and system telemetry directly to VistaLINK Network Management Software.
