Product Overview +
Automated Resource Orchestration for Broadcast Operations
The Evertz Intelligent Resource Management (IRM) software solution is an enterprise-grade control and scheduling platform developed to simplify operational workflows in Transmission Operation Centers (TOCs), broadcast facilities, and live production hubs. By acting as a central resource manager, IRM allows operators to model, pool, reserve, and dynamically configure shared hardware assets—such as IRDs, satellite receivers, processing blades, and core matrix routers—for scheduled live events.
Intelligent Event Scheduling & External System Integration
IRM removes manual operational complexity by automating signal routing and device provisioning based on time-based event schedules. System operators can manage events through an intuitive graphical run-list or ingest schedule data directly from third-party traffic software via robust XML Web Service APIs:
- Conflict Resolution: Automatically detects overlapping hardware bookings and offers resolution pathways to prevent operational disruptions.
- Smart Resource Pooling: Groups hardware modules with identical attributes into unified pools, automatically assigning available devices to upcoming events.
- Dynamic Event Control: Allows operators to create ad-hoc events, extend or alter hardware usage times on the fly, or merge similar event bookings to maximize equipment utilization.
Enterprise Fault Monitoring and System Resilience
Functioning as a comprehensive Manager of Managers (MoM), IRM provides live diagnostics, status callback reports, and detailed event logging to safeguard inbound and outbound transmission feeds. The software works in harmony with existing Evertz VistaLINK NMS frameworks and supports primary and redundant server failover configurations, ensuring complete reliability for high-stakes live sports, news, and contribution workflows.
