Product Overview +
Automated Signal Path Optimization
The Evertz MAGNUM-ISP (Intelligent Signal Pathing) module is an advanced software engine that automates format conversion and signal routing across complex broadcast infrastructures. By dynamically detecting format mismatches between sources and destinations—such as an incoming Standard Definition (SD) feed routed to a High Definition (HD) monitor or encoder—MAGNUM-ISP automatically identifies, reserves, and configures available in-line processing hardware to execute the necessary conversion on the fly.
Dynamic Resource Allocation & Path Costing
Rather than requiring dedicated, permanently patched conversion hardware for every signal line, MAGNUM-ISP creates a shared pool of conversion assets across the facility:
- Attribute-Based Routing: Assigns specific signal attributes (resolution, color space, frame rate) to sources, destinations, and processing hardware.
- Path Costing Rules: Intelligent routing algorithms determine the most efficient signal path, balancing signal quality against available processing resources.
- Dynamic Hardware Reuse: Instantly releases and re-assigns up/down/cross-converters as soon as a route is changed or torn down, significantly reducing capital expenditure and equipment footprint.
Centralized Web Management and Multi-Path Support
MAGNUM-ISP features an intuitive web-based management console that gives broadcast engineers complete visibility over facility conversion assets. System operators can track active processing chains, review hardware utilization metrics, and manually release reserved signal paths when needed. Support for multi-path conversion allows the module to manage multi-stage signal transformations across legacy SDI, IP (ST 2110), and hybrid architectures seamlessly.
