The Evertz MIO-BLADE-Z22-SFP expands the virtualized SCORPION ecosystem by integrating on-board SFP cages alongside traditional HD-BNC SDI interfaces. Designed as a reconfigurable, single-node FPGA processing engine, it delivers deterministic, low-latency media transformation while introducing direct card-edge optical connectivity.

Hybrid Edge Processing & Network Isolation

The onboard SFP/SFP+ ports allow the module to ingest optical signals directly or serve as an FPGA-driven network isolation tool between distinct network domains:

MIO-APP-IPG-2110-SFP: Operates as a utility SMPTE ST 2110 firewall gateway providing 2x bi-directional processing paths with NMOS IS-04/IS-05 management and complete network separation.
MIO-APP-FEC: Functioning as a SMPTE ST 2022-2/7 gateway, this app handles 16 processing paths with FEC insertion/correction, RTP header management, and hitless merge replication.
MIO-APP-SRT: Provides hardware-accelerated Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) processing capable of handling up to 2GB/s stream flows over unmanaged networks.
