Occupying a dual-slot position in Evertz MIO frame ecosystems, this encoder bridges the transition from legacy SDI infrastructures to cutting-edge IP broadcasting, providing fully compliant CEA-608 and CEA-708 caption insertion across all video resolutions.

Bi-Directional Media Streaming for Remote Captioners

To eliminate the cost, latency, and instability of traditional dial-up modems, the MIO-CCE-4K/3G features built-in media-over-IP streaming. The card extracts embedded program audio and confidence media from incoming video streams and securely transmits it over local or wide-area IP networks to remote steno-captioners. Captioners return live text data in real time over TCP/IP connections, creating a seamless bi-directional workflow.

Automated Caption File Management & Compliance Verification

Equipped with robust onboard memory, the MIO-CCE-4K/3G simplifies file-based caption operations:

Capture & Verification: Record incoming or newly encoded caption data to local storage for compliance archiving, auditing, or quick editing without re-authoring content.
Direct File Insertion: Ingest pre-authored caption files (SCC, CDP, Procap) directly from onboard memory onto air—accessible and manageable remotely via standard FTP commands.
