Specialized Caption Quality Assurance & Analysis

The Evertz MIO-CCM-4K/3G is a specialized closed caption monitor, decoder, and signal analyzer engineered for quality control in broadcast master control and QA facilities. Operating across both traditional SDI baseband and uncompressed SMPTE ST 2110 IP media networks, the module decodes and displays CEA-608 and CEA-708 closed captions directly onto monitoring outputs.

Advanced Metadata Extraction & Dynamic Positioning

Equipped with dynamic XDS packet decoding, the MIO-CCM-4K/3G extracts critical V-Chip ratings, program descriptions, and station identification codes directly from the vertical ancillary data (VANC). To ensure compliance during emergency broadcasts, the card supports GPI-triggered line shifting, allowing operators to automatically shift captions up or down to avoid obscuring Emergency Alert System (EAS) tickers.

SCORPION Frame Integration & Remote Management

Designed as a dual-slot MIO module, the unit fits into Evertz SCORPION edge-processing frames (supporting up to 8 cards in a SCORPION-X18). System administrators can remotely manage configurations, user presets, and alarm statuses using WebEasy, Evertz VistaLINK® SNMP, or MAGNUM orchestration platforms.
