The Evertz MIO-IP-CCE on MIO-CPU is a software-defined closed captioning, teletext processing, and subtitling engine designed for high-density broadcast environments. Operating on the MIO-CPU hardware platform within Evertz SCORPION-SX18 and SCORPION-2RU chassis, the module provides a bridge between traditional SDI baseband infrastructures and modern SMPTE ST 2110 IP media networks.

Advanced Translation & Live Insertion

The MIO-IP-CCE handles complex international caption workflows through continuous translation and remapping:

Standard Conversion: Translates bi-directionally between North American CEA-608/708 standards and European WST (OP42/OP47) teletext formats while maintaining timing integrity.
Live Ingest: Supports CTRL-A and NEWFOR data protocols, enabling live stenographers and automated speech-to-text systems to insert real-time captions into active broadcast streams.
Confidence & Burn-In: Enables on-demand open caption rendering (burn-in) onto video feeds alongside proxy low-latency A/V streaming, allowing remote captioners to monitor output quality without dedicated hardware decoders.
