Product Overview +

Hybrid Baseband & IP Timing Engine

The Evertz MIO-PTP is a high-precision, small-form-factor timing and synchronization solution designed to bridge baseband analog sync with IP-based Precision Time Protocol (PTP) networks. Functioning as a standalone Master Clock, a top-of-rack Sync Pulse Generator (SPG), or a remote PTP extension node over WAN, the MIO-PTP eliminates the need for separate baseband distribution networks in hybrid broadcast environments.

Multi-Reference Fallback & Top-of-Rack SPG

Equipped with an onboard Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO), the MIO-PTP ensures continuous, ultra-stable system clocking:

  • Reference Flexibility: Locks to incoming PTP streams or direct GNSS satellite signals, featuring automatic revertive or non-revertive failover to maintain uninterrupted facility timing.
  • Baseband Output Generation: Provides two independently programmable analog reference outputs (Black Burst, Tri-Level Sync, Word Clock, 10MHz) alongside dedicated +1PPS and -1PPS align signals.
  • Remote Venue Deployment: Extends precise PTP timing over managed IP networks to arenas or remote production venues where installing a GNSS roof antenna is impractical.
