The Evertz MIO-TM2-4K is a specialized timecode reader, generator, transcoder, and character inserter designed for 12G-SDI 4K/UHD and HD production environments. Occupying a dual-slot MIO form factor inside Evertz SCORPION frames, the module delivers two completely independent video processing channels, ensuring precise ancillary timecode synchronization and visual verification for live broadcast and post-production workflows.

Advanced Transcoding & Visual Character Insertion

The MIO-TM2-4K unifies ancillary timecode management across physical and IP-based sources:

  • Multi-Format Transcoding: Automatically reads ATC-LTC, ATC-VITC, or reference VITC, transcoding data dynamically between LTC and VITC formats across 12G, 3G, and HD-SDI signals.
  • On-Screen Display Burn-In: Features user-programmable character inserters on MON and PGM outputs. Operators can overlay time, user bits, and diagnostic data with three font sizes and adjustable background transparency.
  • Diagnostic TC Delta Monitoring: Continuously compares reader timecode values between both video paths to calculate and display time differences, making it an essential tool for multi-camera align verification and latency tracking.
