Next-Generation 12G-SDI & IP Timecode Processing

The Evertz MIO-TM2-4K is a dual-channel 12G/3G/HD-SDI timecode processing module engineered for the Evertz SCORPION ultra-compact frame ecosystem. Designed to meet the demands of modern 4K/UHD live production and IP hybrid infrastructures, the MIO-TM2-4K combines timecode reading, generation, translation, and character insertion into a high-density, dual-slot MIO form factor. It offers full support for SMPTE ST 2110-40 ancillary data streams as well as traditional SDI baseband signals.

Complete Signal Matrix and Chassis Crosspoint Integration

Each independent video processing path features three input channels (2x external HD-BNC main/backup inputs and 1x internal chassis crosspoint input) and three output channels (1x HD-BNC Monitor output, 1x HD-BNC Program output, and 1x internal chassis crosspoint output). This comprehensive routing architecture allows seamless distribution of clean program video, monitored video with timecode burn-in, or internal frame routing without extra external cabling.

Advanced Visual Character Burn-In and Transcoding

Equipped with a high-resolution On-Screen Display (OSD) engine, the module can burn generator/reader timecode and user bits directly into the picture on both MON and PGM outputs. Operators can customize window positioning, select from three font sizes, and adjust background mask opacity. The module natively transcodes between ATC-VITC, ATC-LTC, and reference VITC while providing real-time timecode difference diagnostics between both processing channels.

Seamless Control and Compact Modular Deployment

Occupying just two slots in any SCORPION frame (such as SCORPION-2F, SCORPION-6F, or SCORPION-S18/SX18), the MIO-TM2-4K delivers enterprise-grade performance with an operating temperature rating up to 85°C. System configuration, status monitoring, and remote management are handled easily through Evertz WebEasy, SNMP control, or RESTful APIs.
