Low-Latency HEVC Video Transport

The Evertz MIO-XPS is a high-performance HEVC/H.265 encoder and decoder module designed for edge contribution, cloud-based workflows, and remote production backhaul. Occupying a dual-slot MIO footprint inside Evertz SCORPION frames, the module delivers broadcast-grade 4:2:2 10-bit video encoding at bitrates between 10 and 50 Mbps with ultralow latency down to 150ms.

The MIO-XPS leverages both robust IP network streaming and the broad signal-processing toolkit of the SCORPION platform:

MIO-XPS-1E1D Software Service: Provides simultaneous 1x HEVC encode and 1x HEVC decode channel for bi-directional HD/3G workflows (720p, 1080i, 1080p).
Reliable IP Transport: Integrates hardware-accelerated SRT streaming with AES encryption alongside SMPTE ST 2022-7 hitless network redundancy for distribution over unmanaged public internet or managed IP networks.
SCORPION Ecosystem Synergy: Combines encoding/decoding with native MIO processing functions, such as audio embedding, timecode, up/down/cross conversion, and color correction on a single modular card edge.
