Product Overview +
Precision Multi-GNSS Integration for Broadcast Master Clocks
The Evertz MSC-RF-ADAPT is a high-sensitivity multi-global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver module designed to connect commercial RF satellite antennas directly to Evertz master clock and sync generator systems. By bridging standard 50-ohm RF coax cabling with an RS-422 serial data interface, the MSC-RF-ADAPT allows facilities to utilize existing RF infrastructure or third-party antennas, such as the Trimble Bullet 360, without sacrificing synchronization performance.
Simultaneous Multi-Constellation Tracking and Rapid Acquisition
Built for demanding timing applications, the receiver simultaneously tracks GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou satellite constellations. It features high receiver sensitivity capable of locking onto weak signals down to -160dBm during continuous tracking and achieving a cold-start time-to-first-fix in under 46 seconds. With a 1 Pulse-Per-Second (1 PPS) timing accuracy of 15 nanoseconds, the module delivers rock-solid phase alignment required for master clock synchronization.
Flexible Distribution Architecture and Fiber Extension Support
The MSC-RF-ADAPT is engineered for scalable broadcast facility deployments. Multiple receiver modules can be connected downstream from an RF distribution amplifier (such as the Evertz 7703DA series) to share a single roof-mounted antenna across multiple master clock systems. For long cable runs between rooftop antennas and server rooms, the unit fully supports in-line RF pre-amplifiers (7703PA/7703PA-2) and fiber optic transmitters/receivers (2408LT and 7707LRA) to extend signals over distances exceeding several kilometers.
Plug-and-Play Operation and Compact Form Factor
Featuring a minimal physical footprint (3.75" x 1" x 1.56"), the MSC-RF-ADAPT can be mounted discreetly inside equipment racks, entry bulkheads, or wall enclosures. It provides a built-in 5.5V DC supply to power active Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) directly through the coaxial cable and includes a front-facing LED power indicator for instant operational status verification.
