The Evertz NEXX-SCORPION fuses the modular flexibility of the SCORPION platform with the high-density routing power of the NEXX chassis series. By occupying a single slot in NEXX 3RU or 5RU frames, the card functions as a modular processing sub-frame, allowing engineers to mix and match video, audio, and IP conversion hardware without consuming additional rack space.

Crosspoint Integration & Scalability

The card bridges external field connections directly into the main routing matrix:

Internal Routing Paths: Interconnects 32x32 video feeds and 512x512 audio channels directly with the main NEXX crosspoint.
Dual-Slot MIO Support: Houses up to 4 hot-swappable Modular Input Output (MIO) cards, allowing custom configurations for signal normalization, captioning, Dante audio, and HDMI conversion.
Automatic Processing: Integrates with MAGNUM control systems to construct automated tie-lines that route and process signals dynamically across the facility.

Scalable Signal Support

Designed for modern multi-rate workflows, the NEXX-SCORPION handles concurrent data streams up to 12G-SDI while drawing power and reference timing directly from the host NEXX frame architecture.
