The Evertz REFLEKTOR is an advanced, software-defined media processing platform built to bridge the gap between cloud-native IP workflows and traditional broadcast facilities. Available for cloud, virtualized, containerized, or local server deployments, REFLEKTOR dynamically allocates processing nodes to convert, align, and route high-value live video feeds across disparate network boundaries and system architectures.

Universal Codec and Transport Adaptation

Designed to eliminate workflow incompatibilities, REFLEKTOR handles real-time transcoding, encoding, and decoding across major industry formats. Supporting H.264, HEVC, and JPEG-XS codecs, the platform converts video streams across resolutions up to 4K/UHD (2160p @ 50/59.94Hz). Its transport engine bridges Internet streaming protocols like SRT, RIST, and NDI with broadcast IP standards including MPEG-TS and SMPTE ST 2110 / ST 2022-6.

Advanced Stream Normalization and Ancillary Processing

REFLEKTOR equips engineers with comprehensive stream manipulation and monitoring tools. Key processing capabilities include:

Video & Color Normalization: Integrated Up/Down/Cross scaling between 720p, 1080i, and 1080p, SDR-to-HDR bidirectional conversion, and color/proc amp correction.
Audio Transcoding & Alignment: Transcoding across AAC, AC3, MPEG1-L2, and SIP/AES67 audio protocols with audio delay, mixing, and channel shuffling.
Stream & Metadata Control: Features PID re-mapping, SCTE 35/104 and caption insertions, TS multiplexing/demultiplexing, H.264 clean switching (ACO), and TR 101 290 health monitoring.

Orchestration and Open NMOS Control

REFLEKTOR integrates directly into the Evertz MAGNUM-OS orchestration ecosystem, allowing operators to manage cloud processing nodes and local routing frames under a unified interface. Native support for AMWA NMOS IS-04 (discovery and registration) and IS-05 (connection management) ensures open, interoperable signal routing and automated stream topology mapping across hybrid networks.
