Functioning as a high-density signal aggregation enclosure, the unit converts, encodes, and transports video, audio, and data feeds across fiber optic cables or standard IP networks.

By accepting Evertz Modular Input Output (MIO) cards, the SCORPION-2 transforms instantly to match specific field requirements:

Encoding & IP Edge: Functions as a dual-channel JPEG XS/JPEG2000/HEVC encoder or a 4K SMPTE ST 2110 / ST 2022-6 edge device.
Fiber Extension: Transports multi-rate SDI, HDMI, and audio signals over long distances via its four onboard SFP transceivers.
Network Integration: Fully compliant with NMOS standards for seamless discovery and connection management within ST 2110 broadcast facilities.
