The Evertz X-CALIBER is a high-density hardware platform built for large-scale video encoding, decoding, and transport at the network edge. Designed to complement Evertz core processing platforms, X-CALIBER provides granular, high-channel-count media conversion in a 1RU footprint—making it an ideal solution for contribution, primary distribution, venue interconnects, and IP migration.

Massive Bandwidth & Modular XIO Blades

Featuring a 2.6 Tbps internal Ethernet switching fabric and up to 800 Gbps of network connectivity across four QSFP-DD ports, X-CALIBER easily manages high-throughput uncompressed ST 2110 and compressed video workflows. The chassis holds up to 8 modular XIO processing blades:

XIO-BLADE-XPS: Dedicated to H.264 and HEVC codecs. Configurable for 8-channel SDI encoding, 8-channel SDI decoding, or a 4-channel bi-directional split across 16 card-edge HD-BNC ports.
XIO-BLADE-X45: Optimized for ultra-low-latency JPEG-XS (TR07) compression. Configurable for 16 SDI decodes, 8x8 SDI-to-JPEG-XS encode/decode, or 8x8 ST 2110-to-JPEG-XS transcode paths.
