The Evertz X-CALIBER is a high-density, hardware-based media edge platform designed for demanding broadcast, sports production, and live multi-service edge environments. Occupying just 1RU of rack space, X-CALIBER bridges traditional SDI infrastructures and modern SMPTE ST 2110 IP networks by providing flexible, granular encoding and decoding for massive signal quantities.

Scalable XIO Blades & High-Bandwidth IP Transport

Driven by up to 8 modular XIO processing blades, X-CALIBER delivers multi-format compression support:

XIO-BLADE-XPS: Dedicated to H.264 and HEVC processing, handling up to 8 paths of SDI encoding, 8 paths of SDI decoding, or bi-directional 4-encode/4-decode operations via 16 HD-BNC connectors.
XIO-BLADE-X45: Dedicated to low-latency JPEG-XS (TR07) compression, handling up to 16 paths of uncompressed ST 2110 / SDI conversion or JPEG-XS decode.

With 800 Gbps of network throughput and 2.6 Tbps of internal switching, X-CALIBER serves as an industry-leading media edge solution.
