The XPS platform features multi-codec hardware processing, allowing operators to switch seamlessly between compression formats based on operational bandwidth and latency requirements:
- Mezzanine & Ultra-Low Latency Compression: High-efficiency JPEG-XS and JPEG 2000 compression for pristine inter-facility production streams.
- Distribution Compression: Advanced HEVC (H.265) and H.264 4:2:2 10-bit encoding for bandwidth-constrained streaming.
- Integrated Processing Engines: Features built-in Up/Down/Cross (UDX) signal conversion, real-time JPEG-XS to HEVC transcoding, bi-directional ASI-to-SRT conversion, and SMPTE ST 2038 VANC metadata preservation.
Hybrid Baseband & IP Transport Protocol Suite
Designed to bridge legacy baseband SDI environments with modern IP infrastructures, the XPS series supports physical 12G/3G/HD-SDI ports alongside SMPTE ST 2110-20/22 IP video interfaces. To ensure robust delivery over unmanaged networks, the encoder natively packages streams into industry-standard transmission protocols including SRT, RIST, Zixi, and RTMP/RTMPS.

- 5782XPS-HW Modular Blades: Single-slot frame cards configured for 4-channel encoding, 4-channel decoding, or bi-directional 2x2 operation. Fits up to 4 blades in 1RU or 14 blades in a 3RU Evertz chassis (equipping up to 56 channels with high-bandwidth dual 100GbE QSFP ports).
