Advanced 4K/HD Reference Signal Generation

The FOR-A ESG-4000 Series (ESG-4000, ESG-4100, and ESG-4200) comprises multi-format, high-precision test signal generators engineered for broadcast stations, OB trucks, display calibration facilities, and post-production suites. Capable of outputting both 4K UHD (3840x2160) and 4K DCI (4096x2160) signals alongside HD-SDI feeds, the series provides dual independent generator blocks (SG-1, SG-2) to verify multi-camera pipelines and routing matrices simultaneously.

Series Lineup & IP Connectivity

ESG-4000: Legacy 3G/HD-SDI test generator delivering dual 4K (3G-SDI x4) and triple HD-SDI output lines.
ESG-4100: 12G-SDI model distributing 12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI signals across four 4K 12G-SDI outputs and up to four HD-SDI outputs.
ESG-4200: Hybrid 12G-SDI and SMPTE IP generator supporting SMPTE ST 2110, ST 2022-6, and ST 2022-8 protocols alongside SDI, complete with PTP (Precision Time Protocol) synchronization.

Essential Broadcast Calibration & Metadata Editing

Equipped with built-in patterns—including color bars, pathological signals, crosshatch, multi-burst, and noise—the ESG series also supports custom user pattern uploads and PNG logo overlays. Broadcast engineers can edit 4-byte SMPTE payload IDs directly to test downstream compliance with HDR standards (PQ/HLG) and ITU-R BT.2020 color spaces. Integrated audio generation embeds 32 channels of PCM or custom WAV audio, backed by dual MADI interface outputs.
