High-Density 5-Channel Signal Processing Engine

The FOR-A FA-505 is a multi-purpose signal processor that houses five independent frame synchronizers, color correctors, and up/down/cross/aspect converters in a space-saving 1U chassis. Engineed for live broadcast environments, mobile OB trucks, sub-control rooms, and news distribution, the FA-505 processes five 3G/HD/SD-SDI video lines simultaneously without external patch cabling. Integrated 5x5 video and audio clean switching provides smooth, noise-free transitions, allowing the unit to double as a compact routing switcher.

Advanced HDR, BT.2020 WCG, and 4K Workflows

Built for evolving broadcast standards, the FA-505 supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) Log Gamma curves and ITU-R BT.2020 Wide Color Gamut (WCG) color space conversions. Individual channel linking allows the processor to operate in 4K (QFHD) mode, handling 4K signals via Square Division (SQD) or 2SI (Sample Interleave) configurations. Standard 3G-SDI Level-A and Level-B cross-conversion solves device compatibility across mixed-infrastructure setups.

Modular I/O & High-Capacity Audio Remapping

The FA-505 handles 16 channels of embedded audio per SDI line (up to 80 channels standard) with individual gain adjustment, channel remapping, phase polarity reversal, down-mixing, and delay adjustment up to 1,000 ms. Optional expansion cards increase overall audio capacity to 112 channels:

Digital Audio: FA-10AES-BL (8-channel balanced AES/EBU) and FA-10AES-UBL / FA-10AES-UBLC (unbalanced AES/EBU).
Analog Audio: FA-10ANA-AUD (4-channel balanced/unbalanced analog audio with built-in mic head amplifiers and phantom power).
Control & Redundancy Options: FA-10GPI expansion card, FA-10RU remote control panel, FA-10DCCRU color control panel, FA-AUX30 extension panel, and FA-50PS redundant power supply.
