The FOR-A FA-9600 is a versatile, multi-purpose signal processor designed for live broadcast trucks, master control rooms, news studios, and post-production suites. Going far beyond basic frame synchronization, the unit serves as an advanced format converter, dynamic range transformer, and color processing engine across SD, HD, 1080p, and 4K UHD workflows. Equipped with dual-channel frame synchronizers, the FA-9600 supports multiple synchronization modes—including Frame, Line, AVDL, and Line (Min) mode—allowing operators to minimize latency down to 700 clocks for real-time color adjustment and signal alignment.

Advanced Color Management & HDR/SDR Conversion

Built to manage complex wide color gamut (WCG) and high dynamic range (HDR) environments, the FA-9600 provides RGB and differential color correction alongside 1D and 3D LUT capabilities. It natively handles conversions between SDR and major HDR curves (HLG, PQ, S-Log3, Canon Log 2/3) and supports Sony’s SR Live for HDR workflow via the optional FA-96AHDR2 software license. Real-time 3D LUT control is supported through direct integration with TVLogic WonderLookPro software, making it ideal for visual matching across multi-camera setups and LED video walls.

Scalable I/O & Modular Expansion

The FA-9600 features standard Single-Link 12G-SDI, 3G/HD/SD-SDI, HDMI, and Genlock interfaces, which can be expanded using dedicated software and hardware options:

Software Options: Add 4K UHD processing (FA-964K), video up/down/cross conversion (FA-96UDC), and advanced SR Live HDR processing (FA-96AHDR2).
Hardware Expansion: Slot options accommodate additional 3G-SDI I/O (FA-96EX3G44-R), 6x 12G-SDI distributed outputs (FA-96EX12G06), 4-cage SFP+ fiber interfaces (FA-96SFPC4), and redundant power supplies (FA-96PS).
Audio Interfaces: Expand audio connectivity beyond standard embedded signals with unbalanced AES/EBU (FA-96AES-UBL), 32-channel MADI (FA-96MADI), 32-channel Dante IP audio (FA-96DNT), or balanced analog audio (FA-96ANA-AUD).
