The FOR-A IF4K-DNC-A is a compact, cost-effective 12G-SDI signal processor designed to bridge 4K Ultra HD and standard High Definition production workflows. Built for live broadcast, sports coverage, and studio environments, it accepts auto-detected 12G/6G-SDI, Quad/Dual/Single Link 3G/HD-SDI, and HDMI source inputs across a wide range of frame rates (25p through 60p). The processor delivers simultaneous UHD and down-converted HD outputs across both SDI and HDMI connectors, allowing facilities to maintain a 4K master feed while feeding standard HD broadcast pipelines.

HDR/SDR & Color Space Conversion

To simplify multi-format delivery, the IF4K-DNC-A includes built-in High Dynamic Range (HLG) to Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) conversion alongside ITU-R BT.2020 Wide Color Gamut (WCG) to ITU-R BT.709 down-mapping. This enables simultaneous distribution of 12G-SDI HLG/BT.2020 and HD-SDI SDR/BT.709 feeds from a single input source. Onboard color correction tools allow operators to fine-tune image parameter balance across both output paths.

Versatile Audio Monitoring, Sync & Infrastructure Tools

Beyond video conversion, the IF4K-DNC-A acts as a multi-functional utility node. It features 8 AES audio outputs and 2 pairs of analog audio outputs for localized audio monitoring, with adjustable audio delay to prevent lip-sync misalignments. The unit operates as a frame synchronizer for HDMI-to-SDI conversion and HDMI monitoring setups, with SMPTE ST 352 Payload ID and timecode pass-through support. Real-time control is accessible via the front panel confidence display, network web interface, or the optional IF4K-REMOTE control panel.
