Multi-Channel Media Server for Broadcast Workflows

The FOR-A Insight (ODYSSEY series) is a high-density, multi-channel production and video server engineered for broadcast studios, live events, sports coverage, and mobile OB vans. Housed in a compact 1U enclosure, the Insight server scales from 2 to 8 operational channels, providing simultaneous record, playout, subclip trimming, and preview capabilities across broadcast and IP infrastructures.

Native Multi-Codec Compatibility & Versatile Video I/O

Designed for seamless media exchange without tedious transcode delays, Insight natively records and plays back major production formats including Apple ProRes, Avid DNxHD/DNxHR, Sony XDCAM, and AVC. The server lineup offers wide-ranging interface options spanning 12G/3G-SDI, NDI, and uncompressed SMPTE ST 2110 IP streams. Select models support hardware GPU acceleration for real-time H.264/H.265 encoding and NDI HX streaming.

Collaborative Workflows & System Integration

Built for multi-user environments, Insight features a web-based collaborative interface allowing multiple operators to trim clips, create playlists, and schedule ingest simultaneously with role-based user permissions. The server integrates tightly with FOR-A Hanabi (HVS) live switchers for automated clip playback, while supporting standard VDCP, AMP, and external network storage (FolderSync / ServerSync) setups.
