Product Overview +
Hitless Transmission & Encoder Redundancy
The FOR-A IPS-6400 is an advanced IP/ASI seamless changeover switcher engineered to provide fail-safe redundancy for broadcast transmission lines, video contribution feeds, and encoder distribution chains. Designed to monitor incoming Transport Streams continuously, the IPS-6400 instantly detects packet loss, signal corruption, or line failures—automatically switching to a healthy backup path without disrupting downstream broadcast playout.
Flexible Hybrid IP & ASI Architecture
Supporting both legacy ASI and modern Transport Stream over IP (TSoIP) workflows, the IPS-6400 handles seamless switching between TS/TS, IP/IP, and hybrid TS/IP sources. Compliant with SMPTE ST 2022-1 and ST 2022-8 protocols, the switcher features 2 IP inputs and 1 IP output alongside expandable ASI I/O (up to 4 inputs and 6 outputs). Dual-interface output capabilities allow simultaneous delivery of ASI and IP streams to downstream networks.
Robust Monitoring & Redundant Hardware
Built for mission-critical master control rooms and transmitter sites, the IPS-6400 offers granular TS-level error detection, enabling engineers to set distinct parameters for monitoring alerts versus automatic switching conditions. Hardware reliability is anchored by a hot-swappable redundant power supply unit, while operational management is supported via SNMP, web browser control, GPIO triggers, and SD card configuration backup.
