Product Overview +
LTFS-Based Enterprise LTO-8 Archiving Server
The FOR-A LTS-80 is an advanced LTFS-based media archiving server designed for broadcast stations, post-production facilities, and digital asset workflows. Supporting LTO-8 and LTO-7 tape cartridges, the unit accommodates up to 12 TB of uncompressed data per LTO-8 tape, providing secure, long-term preservation for high-resolution 4K and HD media. By implementing LTFS standards, the server allows operators to interact with LTO tapes over standard FTP protocols from both Windows and macOS operating systems.
Flexible Ingestion & Simultaneous Dual-Copy Security
Engineered to streamline backup operations, the LTS-80 supports high-speed data ingestion from external USB 3.0 storage devices and network-attached storage (NAS) systems. To guarantee data integrity and eliminate single-point failure risks, the server can copy files to up to two destinations simultaneously (such as LTO tape alongside a secondary USB HDD or NAS), executing built-in verification routines to confirm successful replication.
Scalable Ecosystem & Software Options
The LTS-80 integrates cleanly into comprehensive broadcast archive workflows and can be expanded with optional software and hardware tools. Compatible add-ons include LTS-MAM for centralized media asset management, LTO-EU8 external LTO drives for tape migration and secondary copies, LTS-I-CP copy controllers for multi-unit networking, and LTS-MGS migration software for tape-to-tape consolidation.
