The FOR-A MCC-4K-A is a universal motion-compensated standards converter designed for high-end international broadcast distribution, live sports production, live event coverage, and news transmission. Built to eliminate motion judder and blur artifacts, the MCC-4K-A performs seamless frame rate and format conversion across all standard broadcast frame rates (23.98p through 60p, including progressive, interlaced, and PsF formats) for UHD, 3G-SDI, and HD-SDI signals.
Flexible UHD/HD Signal Architecture & Up/Down Conversion
Equipped for modern 4K Ultra HD workflows, the unit accepts and outputs Single Link 12G/6G-SDI, SFP optical modules, and Quad Link 3G-SDI signals, supporting both 2SI (Sample Interleave) and SQD (Square Division) signal mapping. When integrating legacy feeds into UHD broadcasts, the MCC-4K-A utilizes proprietary aperture control for detail-enhanced up-conversion. For simultaneous UHD and HD broadcasts, it offers UHD-to-HD down-conversion complete with ITU-R BT.2020 to ITU-R BT.709 color space conversion, Proc Amp adjustment, and RGB color correction.
Advanced Audio Handling & Live Infrastructure Integration
To guarantee accurate lip-sync alignment during complex frame-rate transformations, the MCC-4K-A processes 16 channels of embedded PCM audio with automatic video-to-audio delay tracking. It also supports optional Dolby E decoding and transcoding. Designed for demanding live production racks, the processor includes genlock loop-through with phase alignment, timecode handling, closed caption pass-through, and a front-panel confidence monitor for real-time video verification.
