Product Overview +
Flexible Remote Control Architecture
The FOR-A MFR-RU Series comprises a versatile collection of dedicated hardware control panels engineered for seamless operation with FOR-A MFR series routing switchers. Designed to meet diverse workflow requirements—from compact mobile OB trucks to expansive broadcast master control rooms—the system supports network integration of up to 128 remote control units. Operators can customize panel layouts by partitioning matrices, assigning levels, and mapping specific crosspoints, salvos, and system locks across connected units.
Model Lineup & Functional Categories
The MFR-RU series offers tailored control surfaces grouped into four distinct operational tiers. The Simple Model range (MFR-16RUW, MFR-32RUW, MFR-64RUW) delivers straightforward single-color crosspoint switching in 1RU and 2RU form factors. The Standard Model range (MFR-16RU, MFR-16RUD, MFR-40RU) adds menu display screens, status tracking, and 3-color backlit buttons. For desk operations, the MFR-16RUTA provides a 2RU half-size tabletop interface with 7-color LCD button labels. The High-End tier (MFR-18RUA, MFR-39RUA) features dynamic OLED displays on individual buttons, multi-color visual feedback, and redundant power support for master control environments.
Advanced Logic & Operational Security
Built to prevent accidental switching during live operations, MFR-RU panels support robust error-proofing features including crosspoint inhibit, local lock, and global lock modes. Multi-button salvo configurations allow complex, multi-destination routing shifts with a single button press. Integrated web-based management and MFR-LAN Ethernet connectivity streamline firmware management, panel mapping, and bi-directional source name synchronization across FOR-A video switchers and multi-viewers.
