Hybrid IP & Baseband Visual Monitoring
The FOR-A MV-1640IP is a versatile 1RU multi viewer designed for hybrid production environments, live broadcast facilities, and mobile OB vans transitioning to Media-over-IP (MoIP) infrastructures. Built to ingest both network and baseband signals, the unit supports up to 16 uncompressed HD (or 4 4K) IP inputs standard, and expands up to 32 total inputs with the addition of optional 16-channel SDI cards (including 12G/6G-SDI options). The system delivers up to 5 simultaneous outputs across IP, 12G/3G-SDI, and HDMI.
Industry-Standard Network Integration & Control
Engineered for modern broadcast IP fabrics, the MV-1640IP fully supports SMPTE ST 2110-10/20/30/40 and SMPTE ST 2022-6 with ST 2022-7 hitless redundancy across dual SFP28 optical ports. It integrates seamlessly into automated IP routing workflows using NMOS IS-04 for stream registration, NMOS IS-05 for stream management, and Ember+ control protocols. Real-time network telemetry—including PTP clock synchronization, IP/SDI conversion integrity, and optical transceiver status—is actively monitored via SNMP.
Custom Layout Management & Advanced Signal Diagnostics
Using intuitive Windows-based Layout Manager software, operators can configure display layouts featuring up to 25 windows on a single 4K display or up to 40 windows across four 2K screens. Layouts can be recalled directly from the front panel. Integrated monitoring tools include embedded audio level meters, tally, titles, custom logos, timecode, 30-hour schedule clocks, and low-latency SDI cascading. Fault detection algorithms continuously scan for frozen video frames, instantly triggering visual border alerts, SNMP logs, and M-JPEG PC pre-alarm recordings.
