Compact 4K Down Conversion & Quad Monitoring

The FOR-A MV-42HSA is a versatile, compact 1RU signal processor designed for live broadcast production, post-production suites, mobile OB vans, and field monitoring setups. Functioning as both a 4-channel multi viewer and a dedicated 4K (QFHD) monitoring down converter, the unit enables high-resolution 4K footage delivered over Quad 3G-SDI to be viewed seamlessly on standard HD-SDI or DVI-D displays (1920x1080i or 1280x720p). Operators can hide window borders for unified 4K viewing or switch any single input to full-screen mode for dot-by-dot image inspection.

Flexible Signal Handling & Output Control

Engineered to process diverse signal feeds within a single setup, the MV-42HSA accepts asynchronous 3G-SDI (Level-A/B), HD-SDI, and SD-SDI inputs, alongside optional analog composite inputs using the MV-42AI expansion card. The processor provides flexible display configuration options, allowing users to toggle instantly between full-screen, side-by-side 2-split, and standard quad-split layouts. High-definition output is simultaneously routed over HD-SDI and DVI-D connections to feed both professional reference monitors and standard IT display panels.

On-Screen Analytics & System Control

The MV-42HSA incorporates a comprehensive suite of on-screen diagnostic tools, including up to 8-channel embedded audio level meters, Ancillary Time Code (ATC) readouts, 16-character alphanumeric channel titling, and automatic video loss indicators. It passes up to 16 channels of embedded audio over its HD-SDI output. System control and remote management can be expanded with the optional MV-42IFA card, which adds RS-232C, Ethernet LAN, and GPI interfaces for tally frame displays, remote layout switching, date/time generation, and external reference genlock sync.
