3G/HD/SD-SDI Audio Embedding Engine
The FOR-A USF-1013MUX is a modular digital audio multiplexer card designed for installation in FOR-A USF series universal system frames. Supporting standard 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, and SD-SDI video rates, the module embeds up to 8 channels (4 pairs) of external AES/EBU digital audio into an incoming SDI signal for streamlined master control and live broadcast distribution.
Asynchronous Signal Handling & Audio Control
Equipped with built-in Sample Rate Converters (SRC) on all AES/EBU inputs, the USF-1013MUX multiplexes asynchronous digital audio sources without timing errors or buffer overflows. The card features onboard digital processing for audio channel gain adjustments, alongside an auxiliary BNC connection that can be toggled via software to receive either standard SMPTE Longitudinal Timecode (LTC) or additional AES/EBU audio (channels 7/8).
Modular Integration & Centralized Control
Engineered for high-density broadcast environments, the module hot-swaps into 1RU (USF-105AS) or 2RU (USF-212BS) frame chassis with redundant power routing. System status, signal locks, and module parameters can be monitored remotely using SNMP v2c protocols or through the host frame’s network interface.
