Enterprise 12G-SDI 4K Audio Embedding & De-embedding

The FOR-A USF-101MDX8-12G is an advanced 12G-SDI audio multiplexer/demultiplexer card engineered for installation in FOR-A USF series universal system mainframes. Designed for high-density 4K UHD live production, master control switchers, and mobile OB vans, the module handles signal transfer rates from 1.5 Gbps (HD-SDI) up to 12 Gbps (12G-SDI), enabling seamless insertion and extraction of multi-channel digital audio across ultra-high-definition video pipelines.

Comprehensive AES/EBU Audio Processing Engine

Equipped with 16 channels (8 pairs) of AES/EBU digital audio I/O, the USF-101MDX8-12G provides flexible audio management. In Multiplexer (MUX) mode, it maps up to 16 channels of external AES/EBU audio directly into the SDI stream's ancillary data space. In Demultiplexer (DEMUX) mode, it extracts 8 user-selected channels from the embedded SDI audio stream and outputs them as discrete AES/EBU digital audio signals. Built-in Sample Rate Converters (SRC) ensure clean processing of asynchronous audio sources without clicks or pops.

Low-Latency Synchronization & Timecode Integration

To accommodate stringent broadcast timing requirements, the card supports four selectable synchronization modes: Frame, Line, AVDL, and Line (Min.). A dedicated onboard LTC port facilitates timecode input and output tracking, while full SNMP network support enables centralized facility management and monitoring across compatible USF modular chassis.
