Enterprise 12G-SDI & 4K Gearbox Processing
The FOR-A USF-105FS-12G is a high-density 12G-SDI frame synchronizer and gearbox module engineered for FOR-A USF modular frame enclosures. Designed to bridge single-link and multi-link 4K infrastructures, the module serves as a versatile gearbox, converting Single-Link 12G-SDI signals to Quad-Link 3G-SDI (2SI/SQD) or vice versa. This enables older quad-link production equipment to interface cleanly with modern single-link 12G-SDI routers and switchers.
Precision 4K Frame Synchronization & Signal Clean-Up
Operating in FS mode, the USF-105FS-12G locks incoming asynchronous 4K UHD or HD video feeds to facility reference genlock (Black Burst / Tri-Level Sync). It restores clean horizontal and vertical timing, passes ancillary data intact for synchronous signals, and offers a complete video processing amplifier (Proc Amp) suite for real-time luminance, color hue, clipping, and video delay adjustments.
Advanced Embedded Audio Engine
The module features a robust 16-channel embedded audio processing architecture. Built-in Sample Rate Converters (SRC) handle asynchronous audio streams smoothly, while individual per-channel delay controls (up to 1,000 ms) eliminate video-to-audio lip-sync errors. Flexible channel matrix remapping, stereo downmixing for linear PCM audio, and automated error-triggered audio muting ensure broadcast-grade audio integrity across all outputs.
