Dedicated 12G-SDI 4K UHD Down-Conversion
The FOR-A USF-106DC-12G is a high-density modular down-converter card designed for USF-series frame enclosures. Engineered for broadcast control rooms, OB trucks, and live event facilities, it seamlessly integrates 4K UHD source feeds into standard 3G/HD-SDI production environments. By converting 3840x2160 4K signals down to high-quality HD, the USF-106DC-12G allows operators to monitor, stream, or record HD output from 4K cameras and switchers without compromising image integrity.
Flexible 4K Signal Mapping & Color Management
Equipped for versatile infrastructure setups, the module accepts Single Link 12G-SDI as well as Quad Link 3G-SDI in both 2SI (Sample Interleave) and SQD (Square Division) input configurations. To maintain visual fidelity when converting high-end 4K feeds for HD broadcast, the card features built-in dynamic range conversion alongside specialized color processing circuitry, ensuring accurate color space mapping and luminance rendition.
Low-Latency Synchronization & Remote Management
To meet stringent timing requirements in live production, the USF-106DC-12G provides four user-selectable reference modes: Frame Sync, Line Sync, AVDL, and Minimum Line Sync mode for time-sensitive applications. It passes up to 16 channels of embedded audio, preventing lip-sync drift. System administrators can configure unit settings using comprehensive GUI software or a web interface, while integrated SNMP capabilities allow seamless automated monitoring of card health and signal status.
