Dedicated 4K UHD to HD Broadcast Downconversion
The FOR-A USF-106DC-12G is a specialized video downconverter card engineered for installation in FOR-A USF series universal system mainframes. Built specifically to bridge 4K UHD live production environments with standard HD monitoring, recording, and broadcast distribution chains, the module converts Single-Link 12G-SDI or Quad-Link 3G-SDI (2SI/SQD) 4K feeds into pristine 1080p/1080i HD output signals.
Dynamic Range & Color Space Mapping
Designed to maintain visual fidelity during live mixed-format productions, the USF-106DC-12G features integrated High Dynamic Range (HDR) conversion. The onboard color processing circuit translates incoming wide color gamut signals (BT.2020) and high dynamic range content (HLG/PQ) into standard dynamic range (BT.709) HD video, eliminating blown-out highlights or dull colors on legacy standard display monitors.
Low-Latency Synchronization & Monitoring
To meet tight broadcast timing requirements, the module provides four distinct sync modes: Frame Sync, Line Sync, AVDL, and Line (Min.). Passing up to 16 channels of embedded audio, the card integrates cleanly into master control suites and live production trucks. System engineers can monitor unit status and configure parameters remotely using a browser-based web server, dedicated software GUI, or network SNMP protocols.
