Low-Latency 4K Transmission over 3G-SDI
The FOR-A USF-106TICO-12G is a high-density 4K codec and signal processing card designed for USF-series frame enclosures. Incorporating the lightweight TICO compression algorithm, the USF-106TICO-12G encodes native 4K UHD video into a single 3G-SDI stream (and decodes incoming TICO streams back to uncompressed 4K). This enables facilities to transmit 4K signals across legacy 3G-SDI cabling and routing infrastructure without requiring massive bandwidth upgrades or sacrificing image quality.
Versatile Signal Mapping & Down-Conversion
Equipped with one 12G-SDI input and two outputs, the card seamlessly handles both 2-Sample Interleave (2SI) and Square Division (SQD) 4K formats in Level-A and Level-B environments. In addition to TICO encoding/decoding, the card features standard down-conversion from 4K UHD to HD (1080p and 1080i) for monitoring and legacy distribution, with an optional up-conversion module available for hybrid HD/4K workflows.
Advanced Color Processing & Frame Synchronization
Built for modern broadcast requirements, the USF-106TICO-12G incorporates color processing circuits compatible with HDR and Wide Color Gamut (WCG) standards. An integrated frame synchronizer stabilizes incoming asynchronous lines against house reference, while an automatic/semi-automatic audio delay engine compensates for processing latency to maintain strict lip-sync alignment across embedded SDI audio streams.
