Enterprise IP Gateway for Hybrid Workflows

The FOR-A USF-10IP Series consists of high-performance video-over-IP gateway modules designed for the Universal System Frame USF-212BS. Engineered to bridge legacy baseband infrastructure with modern Media-over-IP (MoIP) ecosystems, the series provides versatile signal conversion between IP and SDI formats, as well as cross-conversion between transmission standards (SMPTE ST 2022-6/8) and production standards (SMPTE ST 2110). Every card supports PTP timing (SMPTE ST 2059) and includes dual 10 GbE SFP+ interfaces for hitless redundancy (SMPTE ST 2022-7).

Model Lineup & Scalable System Integration

The USF-10IP family provides four targeted module configurations to meet specific IP network and SDI interface demands within the USF-212BS enclosure:

• USF-10IP-TRC: IP format converter module supporting SMPTE ST 2022-8 to SMPTE ST 2110 translation with PTP sync and hitless operation (up to 5 modules per frame).
• USF-10IP-TRC-FS: IP format converter module supporting SMPTE ST 2022-6 to SMPTE ST 2110 translation, equipped with dedicated PTP frame synchronization (up to 3 modules per frame).
• USF-10IPSDI6-FS: 6-stream IP/SDI gateway supporting 1080p/1080i conversion, frame synchronization via PTP or black burst, and 3G/HD-SDI I/O (up to 5 modules per frame).
• USF-10IPSDI12-FS: High-density 12-stream IP/SDI gateway supporting up to 6 3G-SDI inputs and 6 3G-SDI outputs with comprehensive frame synchronization (up to 3 modules per frame).

Advanced Control & 4K TICO Codec Processing

Designed for automated broadcast infrastructures, the USF-10IP series supports NMOS IS-04 for stream registration and NMOS IS-05 for stream connection management alongside an intuitive web-based GUI. To accommodate high-bandwidth 4K UHD signals over 10 GbE network structures, the SDI-capable models (USF-10IPSDI6-FS and USF-10IPSDI12-FS) can be paired with the optional USF-106TICO-12G codec card to compress 12G-SDI into 3G/1.5G-SDI transport streams.
