Product Overview +
Hybrid IP/SDI Gateway & Conversion Infrastructure
The FOR-A USF-10IP Series is a line of modular IP gateway cards engineered for broadcast master control, live production facilities, and OB vans transitioning from baseband SDI to IP-based infrastructures. Built for the FOR-A USF-212BS system frame, the USF-10IP series bridges traditional baseband video with modern Media-over-IP standards, handling signal conversion across SMPTE ST 2110, ST 2022-6, ST 2022-8, and 3G/HD-SDI formats.
Diverse Lineup for Specialized IP Workflows
The USF-10IP series includes four specialized module variations to fit specific system architecture needs:
- USF-10IP-TRC: IP-to-IP Gateway handling SMPTE ST 2022-8 ↔ SMPTE ST 2110 conversions (up to 5 modules per USF-212BS frame).
- USF-10IP-TRC-FS: IP-to-IP Gateway with built-in frame synchronization handling SMPTE ST 2022-6 ↔ SMPTE ST 2110 conversions (up to 3 modules per USF-212BS frame).
- USF-10IPSDI6-FS: IP ↔ SDI Gateway supporting conversion of up to 6 video streams between ST 2022-6/8, ST 2110, and 3G/HD-SDI with frame sync (up to 5 modules per USF-212BS frame).
- USF-10IPSDI12-FS: High-density IP ↔ SDI Gateway handling conversion of up to 12 video streams between ST 2022-6/8, ST 2110, and 3G/HD-SDI with frame sync (up to 3 modules per USF-212BS frame).
Hitless Redundancy & Open System Control
To ensure fail-safe performance during live broadcast transmissions, USF-10IP modules utilize dual 10 GbE SFP+ ports operating under SMPTE ST 2022-7 hitless redundancy, preventing stream dropouts if a network path fails. Seamless integration with third-party IP broadcast routing systems is guaranteed through NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 open standards compliance, while local configuration remains accessible via a built-in web browser interface.
